How everyones all for equality and expressing your feelings/opinions until your feelings/opinions are not their own.
I guess that's the way the world works. Everyone is all about sharing your feelings, as long as your feelings coincide with theirs.
I hope that I can change that for my children. I want to raise them knowing that they can disagree and be boisterous about it, they don't have to sit down, be quiet and take it.

I agree, people are always telling others to have a voice, until that voice differs from their own. I'm hoping to teach my son it's okay to disagree with the majority and have him be proud of his own opinions too.
People don't know how to deal with people who don't agree with them. I don't agree with a lot of things and I often speak up about it but I've also learned when to keep it to myself. You have to find the balance I think in order to make your world around you not full of tension and stress.
But yes, our children need to know that they don't have to sit back and fall into the path of everyone else and also to question, question, question, the popular opinion because popularity doesn't always relect the RIGHT choice.
I totally agree. You sound kinda ticked off! :)
What Kim said!Good luck walking that fine line of helpting them find their own voice while being able to survive their childhood...then let me know how I can do it too!:)
